Paulsgrove and Wymering
– Your Community Carnival

The Paulsgrove & Wymering Carnival Association has run an annual local carnival and events in the north of the city every year since 1985. The carnival association is committed to engaging the local community and giving them pride in their local area by applying for grants and organising free events that will involve residents of all ages and backgrounds. We believe that the annual events are a way of uniting the community together in a fun and positive way. We have been told over the years by many groups would like to participate but they cannot afford to make costumes or hold workshops and so by helping them we expand our participation by having more participants in great costumes. By using professional artists we can help residents develop new skills and self confidence that can be used and passed on to others. The area of Paulsgrove and Wymering is the only part of the City that holds an annual carnival and long may it continue.
